El Arenal, Palma, Calvia, Coll de sa Creu, Coll des Pi, Coll de Sa Bastida

Majorca, departing from El Arenal Road Hard

This is a spectacular cycling route around the west part of Majorca, where the sea and the Tramuntana mountains come together to form some impressive rock formations. You will be going through the small town of Estellencs and Torre de Verger, before you continue towards Esporles. You can have a coffee stop in the charming town of Banyalbufar.

The route will be 106kms long, with 1858 metres of elevation. It will be a hard but rewarding ride. You will depart El Arenal heading west towards Palma, using the coastal cycle lane before you turn inland towards Calvia for the first climb. Coll de sa Creu, our first climb, is a popular cat 3 climb on the outskirts of Palma and your way in to Tramuntana mountain range. After Calvia carry on riding on MA-1015 towards Andratx. We won't be cycling through Andratx, so on the junction go right and follow the MA-10 north. Go over the Coll Des Pi, our second climb of the day, and descend towards Estellenes. Carry on north on MA-10. Our last climb of the day, Coll De Sa Bastida is a cat 3 climb on the outskirts of the quaint village of Banyalbufar. Stop here for refueling before heading back, towards Palma. When in Palma you can join the coastal cycle lane for an easy cycle ride back to the hotel.
