The Pico Veleta - After Barrier

Sierra Nevada, Spain Road

At 3,398 metres above sea level the Pico Veleta is Europe's highest paved road and Europe's highest cycling climb. This segment is the final one starting after the barrier going all the way to the top. A very tough 10kms as the altitude really starts to kick in and the final 8km have got an average of 8% incline. The road surface is not very good either.
